Programma

  1. A brief history… We’ll get started with a brief historical outline from the birth of urban art as a cultural and artistic movement worldwide during the protests outbreaking in the 60s and 70s, even though ancient Romans were already having fun decorating their cities.
  2. Showing the ropes. From paper to practice, showing tools and techniques: street art comes to life through various forms of expression, using rollers, stencils, sprays, markers, and creativity above all; understanding the possibilities of these tools will be essential to use them properly.
  3. Your turn! Getting into action: you will create a concept and develop it through different techniques, choosing between paper sheets, plant-based cardboard panels, and recycled PVC. Participants will experiment both in class and outside, using spray cans.
  4. Extra You will have the special opportunity to paint a totem!

Not only will it be an opportunity to unleash your creativity, but it will also be a meaningful consideration of the political impact of this movement throughout the modern urban landscape, representing freedom of expression.

To introduce this art, there will be Rancy, a designer and graffiti enthusiast.

Iniziativa realizzata con il contributo del Politecnico di Milano.
